As of October 1, 2015, in line with EU legislation, Hungarian websites must also request the visitor's consent if the website places cookies on the visitor's computer.

Based on § 155 of Act C of 2003 on electronic communications, it can generally be said that if the website stores visitor data in cookies - for example, it tracks the user's browsing with Google Analytics in order to later create anonymous statistics, has a webshop basket or login - then the user's attention must be drawn to the fact that he receives HTTP cookies on his machine.
